1.      We believe in the one and only true God (John 17:3), eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19), who is the creator of all things (Revelation 4:11) and sustains all things by His power (Hebrews 1:3), In whom we live and have our being (Acts 17:28), a God of truth and without sin, in whom there is no darkness (1 John 1:5), Who is just and right (Deuteronomy 32:4) and shall judge the world (Psalm 9:8). We believe that the eternal Godhead, manifested in three distinct Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit are one true God, having the same nature, attributes and perfections and equally worthy of our worship. (Mark 12:29, John 1:1-4, Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 5:3-4, 2 Corinthians 13:14, Hebrews 1:1-3, Revelation 1:4-6)

 

2.      We believe that all Scripture is the inspired Word of God, without any errors and profitable for doctrine, for instruction, for correction and for guidance in righteousness for people of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17). We believe that the sixty six books of the Bible are given through the inspiration of God, whereby, the Holy Spirit guided righteous men of God’s choosing in their selection of the words making up the sacred and holy writings. We further believe that the Holy Scriptures are all equally inspired in the sense that God’s inspiration extends entirely and fully to all parts of the sacred writings, be they historical, doctrinal, poetic and prophetic. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:21,                     1 Corinthians 2:13, Mark 12:26,36, 13:11; Acts 1:16, 2:4)

 

3.      We believe that Jesus Christ, the Second Person in the Triune Godhead, is true God and true man (Matthew 1:21-23; Luke 1:35, 22:70; 2 John 3; 1 John 3:8; Hebrews 1:1-13), having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary (Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:31,35). Jesus Christ is the only true Messiah (Matthew 1:1,16; John 4:25-26), as prophesied and promised in the pages of the Old Testament (Isaiah 7:14, 9:6, 52:13-53:12; Micah 5:1, Zechariah 9:9, 12:10; Psalm 22), who died on the cross an atoning sacrificial death for or sins according to the scriptures. (1 Corinthians 15:3; 2 Corinthians 5:21) We further believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead following which He ascended into heaven after forty days (Matthew 28:6; Luke 24:39;    1 Corinthians 15:4), where He is seated at the right hand of the Majesty on High, and is now our High Priest and the only Advocate before God the Father. (Acts 1:9,11, 2:33; Philippians 2:9-11; Hebrews 1:3)

 

4.      We believe that the Holy Spirit, being the Third Person in the Triune Godhead, was given at the day of Pentecost, according to the promise that Jesus made to His disciples. We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify Jesus Christ, and to unite the believers into one body of Christ. (Acts 1:5; 1 Corinthians 12:13) He convicts men of sin (John 16:8) and regenerates the hearts of sinners unto God. He indwells, instructs, guides and empowers believers to live righteous lives (John 16:13; 1 Corinthians 6:19), and His presence in the life of the believer is manifested by the fruits of the Spirit, being: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and self-control. (Galatians 5:22-23)

 

5.      We believe that sin entered the world as a result of disobedience of one man, Adam, and through that, death passed on to all men as a consequence of sin. (Romans 5:12,18) We concur with the Scriptures that all have sinned and therefore condemnation and judgment have come upon all men. (Romans 3:23, 5:18) We believe that man, originally, was created in the image and likeness of God and lived in a state of innocence and holiness in the presence of God. Through man’s disobedience to the command of God and eating of the forbidden fruit, sin and death have come upon men, and man’s nature has become corrupted by rebellion and disobedience to God. Through this fall, man has totally lost all spiritual life and has become dead in trespasses and sin and subject to the power of sin and in bondage to the Devil. (Genesis 1:26, 2:17; John 5:40, 6:53; Ephesians 2:1-3;         1 Timothy 5:6; 1 John 3:8)

 

6.      We believe that there is no other name under heaven given among men, but that of Jesus Christ, through which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12) We believe the Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and was buried according to the Scriptures and that He rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) and He sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on High. (Hebrews 1:3) We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only basis for our justification and salvation (John 6:53-54), and only such that repent from their sins (Mark 1:15; Acts 2:38, 8:22, 17:30) and believe upon His name and receive Him by faith (John 11:25) are born again of the Holy Spirit (John 3:3), thus becoming children of God and co-heirs of Jesus Christ (John 1:12). We concur with the Scriptures that none is righteous and seeks after God (Romans 3:10; Psalm 14:3, 53:3), and that no one can come to the Father but through Jesus Christ the Son of God (John 14:6), and that no one can come to Jesus Christ unless the Father draws him (John 6:44), and that we are saved by God’s grace through faith and that not of our own but as a gift of God so that no one may boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9) Further that, God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life, and that, he that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life, and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life but the wrath of God abideth on him. (John 3:16, 3:36)

 

7.      We believe in the imminent and personal return of Jesus Christ for His Church to establish His kingdom on earth. (Matthew 24:27,30; Revelation 11:15) We believe that the second coming of Jesus Christ is the Blessed Hope of every believer, and that at His return, Christ will judge the world righteously and that condemnation will fall upon the unbelieving world for refusing the name of the Only Son of God. However, there is no condemnation for those who believe in Christ Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 4:16,17; Romans 8:23; Titus 2:13; 1 Corinthians 15:51,52; Acts 10:42, 17:31; Romans 2:16; John 3:8, Romans 8:1)

 

8.      We believe that we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works that God has before ordained that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:8-10) We believe that all who are of the household of faith are members of one family and have a responsibility toward each other to pray for one another and to care and provide for one another. (Galatians 6:10; 1 Timothy 2:1-2) We believe that, as Christians, we are called to live holy lives, pursuing the ways of God according to the Scriptures and not to live according to desires and lusts of our flesh, ways in which we formerly lived. (Romans 8:12-13, 13:14; Galatians 5:16-25; Ephesians 4:22-24; Colossians 3:1-10; 1 Peter 1:14-16; 1 John 3:5-9; Ephesians 2:1-3)

 

9.      We believe that the church is composed of all who are united by the Holy Spirit to the Son of God and that by the same Spirit are baptized into one body. (Matthew 16:16-18; Acts 2:32-47; Romans 12:5; 1 Corinthians 12:12-27; Ephesians 1:20-23, 4:3-10; Colossians 3:14-15) We believe that Christ is the Head of the Church (Ephesians 1:22) and as believers we are commanded to observe two ordinances that, by themselves, are not essential to salvation but are evidence of our obedience and fellowship with the Lord. The first of such is the command of Christ to baptize the nations in the name of Father, Son and Holy Spirit and making disciples for Christ. (Matthew 28:19) We believe that this is the “believer’s baptism” through which a believer becomes identified with the death and resurrection of Christ. The old self is buried with Christ through baptism into death and we are raised with Christ into newness of life. (Romans 6:4; Colossians 2:12) As for infant baptism, we believe this to be a dedication of children to the Lord based on the parents’ belief, through which, the parents commit themselves to raise their child in the Lord’s knowledge. The congregation, as a whole, witnesses this commitment and pledges to support the parents in this endeavor. The second commandment is partaking of “the Lord’s Supper,” through which, we proclaim the Lord’s death until His return in glory, as promised in the Scriptures. (1 Corinthians 11:23-26) We believe that, as the church, we are responsible, in good conscience, to keep the unity of Spirit and to live in peace and to love one another. (1 Thessalonians 5:11-15; Romans 12:18) It is our duty to proclaim the message of the Gospel to the unbelieving world, thus observing the “Great Commission” as given by the Lord Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:19-20)
